Life is like a box chocolates...

Posted by Janice Bruce-Brand on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, In : CHOCOLATE

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Baruzzo Chocolate’s Summer Collection, held at Machiavelli’s Italian kitchen & dining room, Covent Garden.  I asked Lynsay, my mother-in-law to tag along to taste – she gladly accepted the invitation!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Raffaella Baruzzo, the founder, talent, creator and “artist” behind Baruzzo fine Italian Chocolates.  Within seconds of meeting Raffaella, I was captivated by her passion for life, chocolate and ...

Francesca's Secret Kitchen...

Posted by Janice Bruce-Brand on Friday, January 14, 2011, In : SUPPER CLUBS

About a month before we left the cold and snow of London behind us and headed for sunny South Africa, we were fortunate enough to join Francesca's Secret Kitchen, another one of London's Underground Supperclubs, for an absolutely gorgeous evening.  I simply love the idea of supperclubs - it certainly looks like a lot of hard work and requires a fair amount of passion and talent, so I take my hat off to anyone who can master the act!

Talking Italian...

Just Married & Living the good life in London

Janice Bruce-Brand Hi, I'm Janice. I am not a chef, and I am not a photographer - but I love cooking, eating and taking photographs. My mother is a great cook and this is probably where my love for food began. A few years ago, she opened up her own little restaurant in the quaint farming hamlet where I spent roughly 20 years of my youth! By creating this blog, I hope to share with you my curiosity for just about everything in life that relates to food. Those who know me are aware of just how much I love to document my trips and travels. I hope you'll join me for the ride... I promise to keep you suitably entertained (and perhaps even drooling at times!)
